According to the report, most of the outside buyers looking in Sacramento were residents of San Francisco.

The second place is Deschutes County, Oregon, located about four hours southeast of Portland. The area provides access to the vacation towns of Sunriver and Bend, which attract hikers, bikers, fishermen, skiers and snowboarders, according to local Redfin real estate agent Angelica Webb.

Webb said those buyers, many of whom have moved without even setting foot in the area, “want to get out of their cramped apartments in San Francisco or Seattle.”
