“It was a really pivotal moment in my life.”
Almost two years after breaking up with Pete Davidson, Cazzie David opens up about what happened between them before Pete dated Ariana Grande.
In his new book Nobody asked for it, she says her break-up with Pete was a “really pivotal moment” in her life and writing about it caused her a “ton of anxiety.”
In fact, when she was with Pete for two and a half years, the SNL The star has had several tattoos that reminded her of Cazzie, including one with her name on her ring finger.
However, Cazzie says she decided to end their relationship once she had the courage to leave him.

In the book, she said that she was afraid to end it, because “previously threats of self-harm and suicide came from trivial circumstances.”
But once they were apart, Cazzie realized she had made a terrible mistake. A few days later, she called him to be reconciled, but Pete told her he was “the happiest he has ever been”.

Two days after that call, Pete officially broke up with her via text message. But the pain didn’t end there. The next day, Cazzie learned that her ex was in a relationship with Ariana and had already covered up his tattoos from her.
Cazzie was so devastated that she “shook uncontrollably” in her father’s arms as she made her way to her sister’s graduation. She said she relied on cannabis pens to get through the day.
Sometimes she would even wake up “screaming in agony” over their breakup – and it didn’t help that Ariana fans had started bullying her online.
