Actor Hugh Grant is the latest celebrity to admit to having contracted the coronavirus.

Talking remotely Tuesday night during an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen ColbertGrant, 60, said he contracted COVID-19 earlier this year. He and his wife, Anna Eberstein, caught the virus in February, Grant said. But a recent antibody test returned showing no signs of the disease.

“It started out as a simple, very strange syndrome where I continued to sweat terribly. It was like a sweat poncho, really embarrassing, ”Grant told Colbert. “Then my eyeballs looked three sizes too big and that feeling like a huge man was sitting on my chest, some sort of Harvey Weinstein or someone.

He added: “I was like, ‘I don’t know what it is,’ then I was walking down the street one day and thought, ‘I don’t feel anything at all’ and you start to panic.

Grant appears on the new new HBO series, Cancellation. The series created by David E. Kelley centers around a successful therapist, played by Nicole Kidman, whose perfect life unfolds thanks to a violent death and the terrible revelations that result from it.

To test his COVID-19 case, Grant says he started “sniffing flowers, then walked towards the trash. “You know, you want to sniff strangers’ armpits because you can’t smell anything. I finally got home and sprayed my wife’s Chanel # 5 directly on my face. I couldn’t feel anything, but I went blind!
