Disney + could be about to add Tom Holland Spider Man movies to the streaming service – if a new advertisement is anything to go by.
New ad for Disney + in Latin America includes clip of Holland as Spider-Man from Far from home as well as images of Robert Downey Jr in Back home.
Previously, Disney + had said it had no plans to add Spider Man to its MCU movie collection, as Sony Pictures still owns the rights to the character.
“We love our friends at Sony, but we have no plans to host the live-action Spider Man movies on Disney +, ”said Ricky Strauss, director of content and marketing at Disney.
“We will all have Spider Man animated shows that we did so that they were out there under the Marvel banner. But who knows what may happen in the future? “
Digital spy contacted Disney + to confirm if Tom Holland’s Spidey is actually coming to the platform.
Meanwhile, last month Holland officially started filming Spider-Man 3 on location in Atlanta after finishing filming the Unexplored movie adaptation.
Regarding the plot of the film, Sony has refused to confirm or deny reports that the former Spider Man Stars Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield will join Holland for an adaptation of a highly controversial comic book script.
However, we do know that Jamie Foxx is confirmed to reprise his electro role from The Incredible Spider-Man 2, while Benedict Cumberbatch will open the Multiverse of Madness to Spidey as Doctor Strange.
Spider-Man: Far From Home is available now on DVD, Blu ray and digital download. A third Spider Man movie starring Tom Holland has a release date of December 17, 2021.
