New daddy Usher gushes baby girl Sovereign Bo on Ellen

Usher makes a virtual appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show via Zoom Wednesday.

And, the 42-year-old R&B star positively gushed about her newborn baby girl, Sovereign Bo, in a preview for the episode.

In the clip, fans get their first glimpse of Sovereign as the chart-topping talent shares a treasured image with Ellen.

Sovereign unexpectedly came into the world at the end of September, six weeks before her due date, but she is happy and healthy.

And, after a rough year all around, Usher told Ellen that “ the last ray of hope is Sovereign Bo Raymond. ”

The father of three shared with DeGeneres and his audience the first photo of baby Sovereign.

In the snap, she is sound asleep with a purple flower headband on her mountain of raven hair and is cradled by her father who plants a kiss on her head.

While chatting with the hitmaker at her studio, the talk show host passed out how cute her new baby is, comparing her to a ‘porcelain doll’.

Usher laughed and made a dent in how cuteness changed when “you have to change her diaper”.

This isn’t the The Voice star’s first rodeo, however, he is already the father of two older sons, Usher V, 12, and Naviyd, 11.

The Grammy winner told Ellen that the big brothers were adjusting to the new normal and “ doing well ” with their little sister.

“ They’re a little too protective even with me sometimes, ” the singer said of his older sons.

He laughed in the clip saying he’s no longer the “ cool ” dad in his boys’ eyes as they get closer to their teens, so he’s happy that he can start the process all over again.

“I’m kind of the apple of his eye right now,” he said with his megawatt smile.

Usher isn’t the only lover of the latest addition to the Raymond family. Her mother is thrilled to have another grand-baby.

“ So my mom, with all the kids, she gives them their own room, ” Usher said explaining that her two sons had their own room at their grandmother’s house, as did his niece Star.

“I’m like, ‘Well, mom, you’re a little out of space, what are you going to do? She’s like, “Oh, no, no, no, no, no. She’s going to have a room, she’s just going to take your room.”

“I sleep on the couch and Sovereign, she now has my old room,” he laughs.

At the end of September, Usher made the exciting announcement that he would become a father for the third time with his girlfriend Jenn Goicoechea, 36.

The birth has come more than a year since the couple embarked on their whirlwind romance, as they were first linked last October.

“We feel blessed and full of love with the arrival of our beautiful baby girl, Sovereign Bo Raymond. ‘Isn’t she beautiful’ by repeat Stevie Wonder, ” he wrote in his Instagram caption at the time.

Little Sovereign is Usher and Jenn’s first child together. The news was first reported that the couple were expecting this summer when they were spotted at Kreation Organic Juicery in West Hollywood with Jenn sporting a baby bump.
