As a reminder, Hardman’s placement on the list does not necessarily mean he has tested positive for COVID-19. The news came shortly after Yates ESPN colleague Adam Schefter reported that Chiefs have asked the NFL to launch COVID protocol investigation with the NFL Players Association (NFLPA).
2/2 This is a violation of NFL-NFLPA protocols and the representative is not subjected to the same tests as players and staff and travels between clubs regularly, according to the source. The NFL and his team believe this creates the risk of unnecessary exposure for players and staff. https://t.co/XG8b60qFUb

Schefter later added that the NFLPA had been informed of the situation and had acted. It is not clear at the time of writing whether the two issues are related.
The Chiefs are currently in the middle of their Week 10 off week, with their next game scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 22 against the Las Vegas Raiders.
Chiefs head coach Andy Reid told media on Monday he was encouraging players to stay away from the training facility to rest, despite being tested for coronavirus daily in a trailer on the spot.
In nine games this season, Hardman had 25 catches for 395 yards and three touchdowns.
