David Fincher signs four-year exclusivity deal with Netflix

At the moment, David Fincher is a Netflix man. Speak with the French magazine First, the director revealed that he had signed an “exclusive contract with them for another four years”. [Note: The report was originally written in French, but we’re confident in Google’s translation.] It’s an obvious step in the couple’s growing relationship. Fincher was an executive producer on Card castle, Netflix’s first hit, and directed the first two episodes. He then moved on to the critically acclaimed film Mindhunter and, last year, took part in the animated anthology series Love, death and robots. His next film, a biopic called Mank, hits theaters tomorrow and Netflix on November 13.

The last time Fincher worked on something unrelated to Netflix was Missing girl. Before that, the director had made a name for himself with Social network, Zodiac, Fight Club and Seven, among others.
