Jane Fonda reveals fears for her children about the future of the planet

Jane Fonda has openly spoken of her fear for the future and her children, as she shares her concerns that they may not have anything left.

The 82-year-old actress said she believes the current damage to democracy is ‘beyond words’ as she revealed that she fears there is no future for that his children are “ politically active ”.

Discussing her own dedication to activism with Harper’s Bazaar UK, Jane revealed that she will focus on tackling climate change until the end of her life, because that’s what ‘affects everything else ”.

She told the magazine: ‘The importance of voting is finding candidates who are courageous enough to stand up and do what is right. The institutional damage to our democracy is beyond words.

“I have been involved in many problems in the past. I’m a woman, so I care about women’s issues, but for now and until I die, the issue will be the weather because it affects everything else.

Jane went on to say that she was concerned about the planet she will leave behind and said: ‘My concern is whether there will be a future? I have children and grandchildren and I think when they grow up will they be engaged?

“Are they going to be able to breathe?” Will children have a future to be politically active? It’s all that matters.’

“I wanted to show that the elderly could also be involved. I knew people would say, my god, she’s 82. If she can do it, why can’t I go out? And it worked.

“I want to be able to come to the end of my life and feel like I’ve done my best.

The Grace and Frankie star also revealed that it angers her that people in power “ don’t admit ” that the cause of climate change is the use of fossil fuels.
