Arnold Schwarzenegger The Spy Adventure Series Comes To Netflix – Deadline

EXCLUSIVE: In a competitive situation, Skydance TV’s hour-long series starring and executive produced by Arnold Schwarzenegger landed on Netflix, I learned. The deal is still going on and when all is said and done, I hear the project, also with Monica Barbaro (Top Gun: Maverick), will move into development with a script-to-series commitment.

Created by Nick Santora, the series, marking Schwarzenegger’s first major foray into scripted television, would be a global spy adventure with a father (Schwarzenegger) and daughter (Barbaro) at the center of the story.

Santora is executive producer of the untitled series as part of its global contract with Skydance Television. He is also executive producer / showrunner of the upcoming studio Jack Reacher series for Amazon.

Schwarzenegger’s management is producing the new series with Skydance’s David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Bill Bost; Carolyn Harris will oversee the project for the company.

The project was developed in-house at Skydance TV and the independent studio threw out both tracks before releasing it to the streaming market.

The series extends Skydance TV’s relationship with Netflix, where the company produces a long-running blockbuster comedy Grace and Frankie and also produced Modified carbon.
