Patricio Freire is not paid by the hour.

The Bellator lightweight and featherweight champion put his last belt on the line Thursday night against Pedro Carvalho in a game that doubled as a Bellator Grand Prix quarter-final match. And he wasted little time doing the job, winning the 2:10 first round knockout at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn.
