Vikings at Bears: initial injury reports for both teams

With this week’s game on Monday night, Thursday was the first day the Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears needed to release their injury reports. Let’s take a moment to check them out, starting with the visiting team as we usually do.

Seeing Smith on the roster is a bit of a surprise, although from what I see he didn’t return to Sunday’s game against Detroit after his second touchdown, being replaced by Tyler Conklin the rest of the time.

It might also be the first time I’ve seen someone on the injured and uninjured list. CJ Ham has a Schrödinger shoulder problem, apparently.

Now let’s move on to the home team.

The Bears also have a few players who did not participate on Thursday due to “veterans off” days, but they are not listed above.

The biggest names in the Bears fall into the “Limited Participation” category with Robinson and Smith. I’m going to assume they’ll both be playing Monday night until we see or hear something different. Montgomery could also be a big loss for the Bears if he can’t clear the concussion protocol.

These are your first injury reports for the Vikings and Bears as they prepare for Monday night football. We’ll bring you the rest of the injury reports for the week as well, so keep an eye out for those.
