As Americans waited for the presidential election results on November 3, Phoebe Bridgers tweeted that she would cover Goo Goo Dolls’ single “Iris” in 1998 if Donald Trump lost. Now she has kept her promise by recruiting Maggie Rogers to join her. Find out below.
The track is available as a paid download on Bandcamp. Profits are donated to Fair Fight, a voting rights and advocacy organization led by Stacey Abrams.
Earlier this fall, Bridgers launched their Saddest Factory label with Dead Oceans, which released Claud’s single “Gold” in October. Bridges released their second solo album Punisher in June. She has a new EP titled Copycat Killer, which features reworked versions of four Punisher songs with violin, released next week (November 20).
