Half life: Alyx is an extremely ambitious virtual reality title that Polygon has called “the best of virtual reality”. But what if you could find out more sure Alyx and how was the game created? If you’re curious, the new free game update seems like a treat. There are three hours of developer commentary, captioned in over 10 languages.

This is similar to Half Life 2 and Portal developer commentary modes, but Alyx, the player can trigger the audio by taking an in-game headset and putting it on his head.

Valve released a trailer for the commentary on Thursday, which includes some intriguing material. It starts with very simple explanations of the basics of gameplay or the enemy’s path, then progresses into more complicated topics like creating a water bottle that the player can manipulate in virtual reality. We also get a taste of some less scientific topics like the art of creating cute crabs and the best way to convey an exploding abdomen.

Commentary is available in-game for all players who have Half-life: Alyx.
