At 5.4 inches, the iPhone 12 mini is the smallest iPhone Apple has released since iPhone SE 2016, and the 6.7-inch andiPhone 12 Pro Max is the largest iPhone to date, so seeing these two devices side by side is a bit funny. In terms of weight, it’s not too far off the iPhone 11 Pro Max for those with that iPhone, but it is a lot heavier than the honeiPhone 12 or 12 mini.

We have the iPhone 12 Pro Max in silver and the color is almost brilliant white which is fantastic. It has shiny silver edges and the silver color seems to conceal fingerprints better than the blue iPhone with matching blue edges. Our iPhone 12 mini is red, and the red shade this year is brighter than usual like a shiny candy apple, and it also looks great.

The mini is so small that the Apple-made Wallet accessory goes all the way to the edges of the phone (it’s the same width), giving it a weird look. We also bought a leather case and the wallet attachment feels more slippery than the silicone case which should be kept in mind.

The iPhone 12 mini has the same camera as the iPhone 12 and takes identical photos, but the iPhone 12 Pro Max has a triple lens camera with a sensor that is better than the sensor of the iPhone 12 Pro , which gives it the best camera in the bunch. Even though it has the best camera, the cameras on other iPhones are quite good and you might not see too much of a difference between them in standard lighting situations. You should see slightly better performance from the 12 Pro Max in low light conditions, however.
