The sons of Stone Temple Pilots members Guns N ‘Roses and Metallica have formed a new psychedelic hard rock band.
Suspect208 introduces the sons of the late Stone Temple Pilots frontman Scott Weiland, Guns N ‘Roses guitarist Slash and Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo. Today (November 13), the band released their first single “Long Awaited”.
Noah Weiland takes the lead vocals, Tye Trujillo plays bass and London Hudson (son of Slash) plays drums. The group is completed by guitarist Niko Tsangaris, who is also part of the group Classless Act with Hudson.
As Consequence of sound Note, Noah and the London Fathers were group mates in the now defunct Velvet Revolver supergroup.
In an interview in 2018, London recalled seeing his father, Slash, perform for the first time with the band. “Seeing that many people [Velvet Revolver] the shows were a little crazy, and how they all loved [the band]”London told the Appetite For Distortion Podcast (via Blabbermouth). “Then doing the last GN’R tour and seeing all these people who still love it for much older stuff is when it really clicked [how famous my dad is]. “
Earlier this summer, Slash provided an update on new music for Guns N ‘Roses, confirming that the group were working on material during forced downtime due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Slash said he hadn’t collaborated with anyone else during this time and that he “mostly focused on writing new music, recording demos, and recording guitar stuff for Guns and other”.
Guns N ‘Roses last album was “Chinese Democracy” in 2008.
