Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer decides to shut down Great Lakes pipeline

Line 5 is part of the Enbridge Lakehead pipeline system that transports oil from western Canada to refineries in the United States and Ontario. The pipeline transports approximately 23 million gallons of oil and natural gas liquids daily between Superior, Wisconsin, and Sarnia, Ontario, passing through parts of northern Michigan and Wisconsin.
