Wet and windy weather is expected to impact Massachusetts on Sunday evening as thunderstorms move from the Berkshires to Boston overnight until the wee hours of the morning.
A severe thunderstorm watch blankets the state until 2 a.m. Monday morning, according to the National Weather Service. Wind gusts up to 60 miles per hour and frequent lightning strikes are possible in the area.
The National Weather Service is warning residents to charge electronic devices as there is a risk of power outage statewide. By 8:30 p.m., more than 1,300 customers were already without power.
