The Plymouth woman, accused of shooting two children on Friday evening, is expected to be arraigned on Monday.

A 15-year-old Terryville High School student has died and his 7-year-old younger brother is still in critical condition after the shooting.

State Police said Naomi Bell, 43, of Terryville, was arrested and charged with murder in connection with the shooting.

Connecticut State Police said crews were called to a house on North Main Street in the Terryville neighborhood of Plymouth around 7 p.m.

Investigators said Bell shot two children inside the house. Authorities did not say how Bell and the children knew each other.

One of the children was later pronounced dead, state police said. The other child is in critical condition at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, they added.

Plymouth School District officials on Saturday said the deceased child was a student at Terryville High School and the critically injured child was a student at Harry S. Fisher Elementary School.

According to the school district, a third brother, who is a student at Eli Terry Jr. College, was not at home at the time of the shooting.

Serious injuries are being reported after an incident in the Terryville section of Plymouth, according to Connecticut State Police.

“I’m in shock. It’s still not real to me,” said Taylor Wells of Plymouth.

Wells lives next door. He said he did not hear any gunshots and was incredulous when two ambulances arrived. Wells said he knew Bell casually and what happened is confusing.

“She was nice. I can’t believe it,” Wells said.

Bell faces murder and attempted murder charges. She is currently being held in lieu of a $ 2,500,000 bond.

The Western District Major Crimes Division of the Connecticut State Police is investigating.
