Out of all the weird things that have happened in 2020, one of the trends we’ve seen in recent weeks is that pop stars are giving rock and metal a nod. Miley Cyrus is releasing a rock album, Doja Cat gave a metal performance at the MTV Europe Awards, and now Rihanna has been seen sporting a new metal look – a Pantera shirt dressed in a mullet.
We’re not crazy about it, it seems to have become a recurring theme lately.
Rihanna is no stranger to the metal genre, however. Last year it emerged that Slipknot was meant to be her favorite band, and she’s been seen performing metal bands on shirts before. Perhaps the best part of this tribute to Pantera is the marijuana leaf that the logo is associated with.
