So many of you say you love In-N-Out … but would you wait 12 hours in line for a Double-Double?
Well, apparently Coloradans would. The state’s first two In-N-Out locations, in Aurora and Colorado Springs, on Friday opened up to widespread mania.
According to Aurora Police Department, the traffic around the Aurora In-N-Out has gotten totally animalistic – the wait for a burger a few hours ago was 12 HOURS LONG. I repeat: 12 HOURS! It’s half a day spent standing in line for an inexpensive burger smothered in what is essentially a thousand island dressing. That traffic camera of the hundreds of cars lining up for that sweet and sweet taste of California fast food is really painful.
“They’ll probably close before you get to the window. Meanwhile, many other local restaurants have no clue of a wait,” Aurora’s PD pleaded in a tweet.
Full Disclosure: As a vegetarian who’s never tasted an In-N-Out burger but thinks his animal-style fries are just okay, standing in line for 12 hours is completely incomprehensible … but hey, everyone world has to find something to live for in these dark times I guess.
So have fun, but take it easy, burger fanatics. This isn’t your one and only chance for a Double-Double – the fast food chain is even planning to open a few more locations in Colorado soon. In-N-Out will still be here tomorrow.
