Georgian Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger accused President Trump of throwing him “under the bus” in a column published Wednesday.

Georgia had a “soft” and “successful” November election, Raffensperger wrote in the USA Today article, noting that the state “has finally defeated the voting lines.”

“It should be something Georgians should celebrate, whether their favorite presidential candidate won or lost,” he said. “For those wondering, mine lost – my family voted for him, donated to him and is now thrown under the bus by him.”

QUICK FACTS

    • About 5 million ballots are recounted
    • December 8 is the deadline for resolving electoral disputes at the state level

His comments came after weeks of butt heads with other Republicans. The Trump 2020 campaign demanded another Georgia vote recount over the weekend, again clashing with Raffensperger over requests that signature matching played a major role.
