The WWE Survivor series was a night of failure for Friday Night SmackDown, although it was a close fight. For the most part, the Blue Mark champions reigned supreme, but the traditional elimination team matches took place on Monday Night Raw.
Roman Reigns emerged victorious thanks to the support of Jey Uso. He helped defeat Drew McIntyre when the referee was injured. However, Uso also failed as the captain of the SmackDown men’s team. He needed to prove his worth to the tribal chief.
Sasha Banks defeated Asuka in one of the greatest moments of confidence of her career. Carmella waits backstage, however, trying to knock her off her pedestal. The rest of the SmackDown Women’s Division failed, barely losing down the home stretch despite Bianca Belair’s best efforts.
Street Profits had a lot to prove when they entered the ring with New Day. Mount Ford and Angelo Dawkins proved it all with an emphatic show flight performance that should have warned the Blue Mark teams.
Sami Zayn may have given the green light to any future challenger to pursue him, after an embarrassing loss to Bobby Lashley. However, he maintains the narrative that he was deceived and will continue to refuse to accept “wrong” results.
This November 27 edition of SmackDown has to rebuild the parts of a brand that prides itself on being the best. Only the truly great performers could rise to the occasion.

Jey Uso announced Roman Reigns’ victory over Drew McIntyre. The tribal leader broke the hype promotion, heading for the ring at his own pace. A video package was shown highlighting Uso’s failure as captain of the SmackDown men’s team, followed by his help in defeating The Scottish Psychopath.
Reigns wondered why Uso got involved in the main event before quickly saying that his cousin embarrassed the family by not garnering respect from his team. Uso was unable to speak. As Otis stepped out for his match with King Corbin, Jey made his mark with a vicious steel chair attack.

Analysis
As always, The Tribal Chief takes SmackDown forward with character moments every week. He did a fantastic, focused promo. Uso sold how deeply each word cuts.
It was a strong segment, even though it was repeating Survivor Series points. Reigns made it clear that SmackDown’s failure mattered, and he started a fire under Uso. Jey’s attack on Otis was necessary to continue building him like a high heel.

Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler refused to give credit to anyone except themselves, certain they deserved the SmackDown Tag Team Championship. Street Profits felt like Roode and Ziggler were laughing at them, laughing at the duo for their fashion choices.
The Showoff dodged a first frog attempt to help the heels pick up the pace of the clash. Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford hit back and hit a spinebuster in a frog splash for a close fall that Ziggler broke off. In the chaos that followed, The Glorious One rolled up Ford with a handful of tights for three.

Analysis
It was a fun tag team game, even as the pace picked up. These teams are too talented with too much chemistry not to work well together. It was a clash of entertaining styles where The Glorious One and The Showoff have a more ingrained focus than the SmackDown Tag Team Champions.
This victory by the heels sets up an interesting match for WWE TLC. Hopefully, SmackDown’s Tag Team Division gets a decent spotlight. Street Profits should be highlighted as champions on every major show, but the tag team division has been skipped a number of times.

A recap has been shown for The Final Farewell to The Undertaker. In a behind-the-scenes interview, Daniel Bryan explained that he is calm and focused in his pursuit of the WWE Intercontinental Championship.
Sami Zayn complained that the Planet Champion didn’t deserve another shot after losing at WrestleMania 36. Bryan interrupted the rant and went after the critics’ review. Kicks and a dropkick wiped out Zayn until he threw his challenger outside.
Bryan fired back quickly and forced Zayn to the top rope to set up a Frankensteiner for a count of two. The WWE Intercontinental Champion logged on to a brainbuster on the apron that nearly clinched the victory, followed by a near-crash on the Blue Thunder Bomb.
The champion of the planet rolled the champion into the Yes Lock, and the critic of critics tried to run. Bryan followed him, and Zayn made him run and returned to the ring for the countdown.

Analysis
Going into the night, Bryan vs Zayn sounded like the main event, and the two worked it out as a main event. It has been intense throughout, and the two have had their best encounter ever. It was a showcase of the immense talent of the biggest stars.
It was one of the best games on SmackDown in months. Zayn continues to thrive as an opportunist. Even though he deserves to appear more dominant, he has had some good games and made every finish memorable.

Bayley watched this game with great interest in the comments. Bianca Belair found herself grappling with Natalya’s technical prowess. Finally, the power of the EST allowed him to throw the queen of harts outside.
The role model took a punch from Belair followed by Belair throwing Natalya into Bayley. The impact with the former SmackDown Women’s Champion stunned The Queen of Harts, who were wound up for three by EST.

Analysis
It started off strong, but Bayley’s messy inclusion rushed the contest to a close. Natalya and Belair have chemistry and a much better game in them. For now, she was a fascinating tease for the future.
In an immediate sense, it’s a smart move to combine the role model and EST. Bayley was made as one of the absolute best. She can help Belair fight for the title.

King Corbin mocked backstage at the Mysterio family for believing in Murphy while mocking Dominik Mysterio’s ability in the ring.
With Otis out early that night, Murphy took the big man’s place, hoping to silence the king. Everyone in the Mysterio family helped protect Aalyah’s boyfriend, preventing Corbin from doing anything wrong.
After Corbin planted Murphy with the Deep Six, Rey Mysterio distracted the ref. It made the King worse as he beat Murphy into the mat. However, one last distraction from Dominik allowed Murphy to land a bike knee for the count of three with the help of Dominik hitting Corbin’s leg off the rope again.
An angry Corbin demanded a rematch next week, promising he would back down.

Analysis
This match made no sense. Corbin didn’t do anything wrong, but the Mysterios fucked him around every turn. Even though the king insulted the family, it still wasn’t a nod for the Mysterios to constantly block Corbin’s entire offensive.
Murphy and Corbin showed vague chemistry in times that might work best without someone involved. Hopefully the two have a better chance next week, although it’s more likely that the extra bodies will make the contest even more chaotic.

Sami Zayn mocked Apollo Crews until Big E intervened. He clarified that The Critic of the Critics was just one step away from losing its title. Sasha Banks attacked Carmella as she mocked The Legit Boss. Billie Kay tried to work her way through a commentary job but was escorted.
In gorilla stance, after Daniel Bryan’s match with Zayn, Jey Uso beat Bryan until Kevin Owens pulled him out. KO stood up to Roman Reigns and Uso, telling the tribal chief that he was disturbing the spirit of his family.
Uso went after Owens’ left arm, trapping him in the ropes until KO raked his eyes to escape. Owens finally regained control with a catapult into the steel pole followed by a series of superkicks. Owens showed no fear as he crushed Jey with a senton bomb from the apron to the ground.
The damage to KO’s left arm was too great over time as he began to find himself missing the pop-up electric bomb. Owens raised his knees on a splash from Uso, but he couldn’t put it away. Jey grabbed a steel chair, causing a disqualification.
Owens fought Uso with a stun, then threw Jey over the announcement table before grabbing a steel chair. He called out to Reigns, hitting Uso. He asked the Tribal Chief to face him, but Reigns and Paul Heyman only watched him from behind the scenes.

Analysis
We’ve gotten to the point where Jey can host the main SmackDown event most weeks, and it never feels bad. While not Sami Zayn and Daniel Bryan’s job, the two had a serious story to tell. Uso has done everything to sell his growing aggressiveness.
The way Owens took over the action sometimes showed just how uncomfortable Jey was with the role, but Uso eventually regained control around every turn, hearing Reigns’ voice in his head. When Uso lost him, it was because that voice had grown too loud and he no longer cared about winning.
It’s unclear who will challenge Reigns next. Bryan and KO both fell to Uso, but they also won, standing up to the tribal chief along the way. The talent of both men is evident, and they deserve a chance for the main event title as soon as possible.
