Idris Elba has revealed that he will interview music giant Paul McCartneynext next month, saying he is ‘shocked and honored’ to meet the legendary star.
Elba praised music legend Paul McCartney, revealing he was a “ huge fan ” of him.
The 48-year-old superstar will be filming his conversation with The Beatle in the coming weeks for the show ‘Idris Elba Meets Paul McCartney’, which will air on BBC One in December.
The Luther star, who is himself a rapper and singer, revealed he was shocked to have had the chance to share the stage with Paul, saying he couldn’t wait to interview the star.
Alba continued, “When I was asked if I wanted to talk to Paul McCartney, after realizing it wasn’t a joke, I immediately said yes…. who wouldn’t ?!
He went on to say, “I’m a huge fan of Paul! His work has inspired and motivated me as a musician, and once I get through the shock of sharing the stage with him, I’m delighted to talk about his music and his craft.
“What an honor! Hope to sit down with you, Paul.
Idris will chat with Paul about his record-breaking music career, which began six decades ago when he wrote his first song at age 14 before joining the world’s biggest band.
