U.S. Representative Rashida Tlaib on Wednesday tore up witnesses alleging voter fraud in Michigan’s presidential election last month, as state lawmakers continued to hear testimony from poll observers and others regarding the November 3 vote.

Tlaib, one of the progressive members of the Congressional “Squad”, represents Michigan’s 13th Congressional District, which covers part of Detroit, where she was easily re-elected last month.
Wayne County, which includes Detroit, is at the center of election concerns for the Trump 2020 campaign in the state.
President Trump’s personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani brought witnesses to a State Chamber oversight hearing in the state on Wednesday, where they made allegations of voter fraud.

A witness who testified Wednesday was Melissa Carone, an IT contractor for Dominion Voting Systems. She claimed to have witnessed electoral fraud while the ballot count was underway.
“They were just rescan, rescanned, rescanned – counting the ballots nine to 10 times, counting the votes nine to ten times,” she told lawmakers, estimating that thousands of ballots had been counted several times instead of just one.

Carone also appeared on Tuesday before the state Senate oversight committee.
“What I saw at the TCF Center was total fraud,” she said, referring to a Detroit convention center where the ballots were being counted, according to the Washington Times. “At least 90% of these workers all agreed. They scanned again, counting the ballots eight to ten times. “
She alleged that she did not see a single vote for Trump in the 27 hours she worked.

Carone said some witnesses did not come forward for fear of reprisal.
“Democrats love to ruin your life,” she said, adding that she had struggled to find a job since agreeing to testify.
Wayne County Circuit Court Judge Timothy Kenny, who dismissed a lawsuit to block certification in Wayne County, said Carone’s affidavit for the trial was not corroborated by any other affidavit and said his claims were not “credible,” according to the Detroit Free Presse.
Trump voters gathered outside during the two nights of testimony to show their support for the president.
Jake Rollow, a spokesperson for Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson, said no witnesses had given “real evidence of wrongdoing or fraud” during Tuesday’s testimony, according to The Detroit News .

“Instead, we have seen a regurgitation of vague accusations based on a lack of knowledge of electoral procedure and widely disproved conspiracy theories,” he said.
Michigan has already certified results showing President-elect Joe Biden defeated President Trump by more than 150,000 votes in the state.
