Report: MRI confirms Bud Dupree’s torn ACL

Early tests on Steelers linebacker Bud Dupree showed he tore his ACL in Wednesday’s win against the Ravens and the diagnosis did not change after further evaluation.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that a confirmed MRI that Dupree suffered the end of season injury. He will need to have surgery to repair the injury at some point and begin his eye rehabilitation in the 2021 season.

Dupree’s outlook for this season is very different due to the injury. Dupree was playing on a franchise tag this year and his job as a pass-passer has positioned itself for a good payday in the offseason, but the torn ACL may make some contenders wary of making a big investment in him. .

Dupree ends the year with 31 tackles, eight sacks, eight loss tackles, 15 quarterback hits and two forced fumbles.
