Billie Eilish recently announced to her fans that all tickets they currently hold for her 2020 “Where Are We Going?” The world tour will be reimbursed as it is unable to occur due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

“Hi guys, wish I had seen you on tour this year. I missed playing for you and being on stage so much that I can’t even tell you, ”the 18-year-old began in a long split note to Twitter Thursday.

“We tried as many different scenarios as possible for the tour, but none are possible and while I know many of you want to keep your tickets and VIP passes, the best thing we can do for everyone is world is to get the money back into your hands as soon as possible, “Eilish continued, adding that fans should keep an eye on their respective point of purchase emails” and when we are ready and that everything will be safe, we will let you know when everyone will be able to buy tickets again for the next tour. “

The “Bad Guy” singer concluded, “I love you so much” and urged her fans to “stay safe, drink plenty of water and wear a mask.”

The 42-stop arena tour, which would have been Eilish’s largest to date, sold more than 500,000 tickets across North America, South America and Europe in the first hour of going on sale, according to Pollstar.

While Eilish’s message was delivered with the best intention to his fans and their wallets amid the COVID-19 pandemic, which has decimated various industries and impacted the livelihoods of millions of people, many were not exactly happy with the singer’s decision to repay the ticket amount. and instead expressed their desire to hang on to their coveted tickets for later use.

Another fan responded that they had “tried so hard” and managed to snag front row seats at one of Eilish’s performances. They wrote down their tweets with several crying emoji.

“Uh no ??” retorted a downcast fan. “Can we just keep our tickets if we want to lol I have a booth: /”, while another lamented that their mother bought the tour seats last December as a Christmas present, writing: “L billies team my mom waited 3 hours to get it for my Christmas present from last year, is there any way to keep it until next time or reserve a spot? “

Some users even called Eilish a scammer for not giving fans the chance to hold onto their prized passes, and quickly encountered fans who jumped in to Eilish’s defense.
