They say lightning never strikes the same place twice, but apparently the funky Christmas-themed musical inspiration does. At midnight on Friday December 4, Mariah “All I Want For Christmas Is You” Carey threw the latest addition to Christmas music canon, a remix of her 2010 song “Oh Santa!” With small helpers to very big voices: Jennifer Hudson and Ariana Grande. Luckily for Christmas music lovers, the trio, remix, and accompanying music video absolutely make the beautiful list in every way they can. In the video, Mariah takes the center mic (obviously) and calls on her friends J.Hud and Ariana to help her sing about finding love on Christmas. Dressed in gorgeous green gowns, the three singers take turns singing lines from the song before teaming up on the catchy chorus “Oh, oh, oh / Santa is coming to make you mine this Christmas.” If that wasn’t enough the song ends with Ariana and Mariah riffs together as a whistle in perfect harmony.
