His. Marco rubio (R-Fla.) And Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (DN.Y.) took to Twitter back and forth on Thursday after the senator suggested that Ocasio-Cortez “work more” and “tweet less.”
Rubio was responding to a tweet in which Ocasio-Cortez criticized ‘republicanism’ while claiming that black-owned businesses were denied access to Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans during the coronavirus pandemic .
“Small black-owned businesses have been largely barred from accessing PPP loans, as right-wing disinfo organization PV [Project Veritas] took half a million public money while calling direct federal aid “radical socialism.” Republicanism in a nutshell. (They’re also based in Mamaroneck ?!), ”she tweeted.
Rubio came to the defense of the GOP, writing that “Working together R & D has helped save the jobs of 55 million Americans thanks to PPP.”

Ocasio-Cortez fired back, sharing his recent efforts to boost distance learning and probe the Treasury Department’s handling of COVID-19 relief funds.
