Oregon state running back Jermar Jefferson is one of several beavers who did not make the trip to Utah, according to a report released Saturday morning.
Jefferson, who leads the Pac-12 with 675 rushing yards, is out for tonight’s game according to 247Sports.com. Jefferson and outside linebacker John McCartan are among the players who have been quarantined this week due to positive COVID-19 or contact tracing, according to the report.
A source confirmed the report to OregonLive.
This is the third time this season that the state of Oregon has sidelined players due to the COVID-19 protocol. The school reported the COVID-19 quarantine ahead of the Washington game on November 14 and last week for Oregon. Among those who have missed games due to COVID-19 protocol are right goalie We Keobounnam and goalkeeper David Morris.
Oregon and Utah State kicks off at 7:30 p.m. at Rice-Eccles Stadium.
