Microsoft seems to be teasing a big week for Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, and understandably that gets Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, PC, and Android gamers excited. So far this month, the subscription service has added nearly a dozen games, including some GOTY contenders and brand new releases. Having said that, apparently, this is just the start. Speaking to Twitter, Xbox Game Pass general manager Matt Percy teased followers that he and the team were “warming up just before the holiday season,” while citing Aaron Greenberg of Xbox on recent games added to service subscription libraries.
Unfortunately, Percy doesn’t elaborate on this tease with any additional or relevant details. The GM is hinting at a big holiday season for the subscription service, but that’s all he’s hinting that he’s not sure when we’ll know more.
That said, on the Xbox Wire, Microsoft is teasing – via an Xbox Game Pass post – that it will see Xbox players at the Game Awards 2020 on December 10, 2020. Now we knew Xbox was going to be at the Game Awards in some capacity, so it’s not really eye-opening news. However, the fact that it’s randomly included in a Game Pass article suggests that there will be some Game Pass news during the awards show.

Right now, we know Microsoft has something to prepare for Xbox Game Pass for the holiday season, and it looks like it will be revealed, or at least part of it will be revealed, at the Game Awards this week. That said, take the speculative snippets steeped in all of this information with a grain of salt, but also, be sure to tune into The Game Awards this week.
