How To Use Your Android To Bring A Virtual Baby Yoda Into Your Home

If you haven’t yet brought Baby Yoda / Grogu / The Child home for the holidays, either in the form of a giant stuffed animal, a walking toy or just obsessive reviews of The Mandalorian–there is another … option (to borrow Yoda’s dramatic phrasing from Return of the Jedi): Uplace your Android phone to drop a virtual Grogu in your space.

No, your virtual boyfriend will not offer quite the same love the heat like having a little one, of flesh and blood alien boyfriend fucking around with your spaceship, but it is something. To begin with, do sure your android is updated with the latest version of the operating system – and all your apps are updated too, because why not – and launch Chrome or the Google app. Do a quick search on “Baby Yoda” (or “Grogu”), and you should see this option in Google’s little info box:

Press on “Display in 3D”, and you will get this beautiful bigger picture of the child. Make sure to turn up the volume as well, as Grogu will even make gurgles of his brand. (Sort of. They ring little out of what you hear The Mandalorian.)

From there, tap “See in your space” to bring the galaxy’s most wanted baby to your home. You will likely be asked to confirm a few permissions and then you will need to point your phone at the ground for augmented reality to work. But when you do, Grogu will appear, gurgling and all.

And that’s all! You can try pinching it to make it slightly bigger and smaller, but I’ve never really seen it get too much. Really, your goal should be to put it in as many silly settings as possible and take lots of pictures.. Also, I don’t know if it’s strictly canon, but I I had no idea The Child was about as big as a Blue Yeti microphone. If that is the case, I think the most amazing thing about Grogu is that he manages to to avoid to be walked on. Excellent track record, this sleepy little bearer of strength.
