“I’m so excited to go out and get drunk with you for five hours in New York City,” Cohen said. “Like that for me, it’s a super fun New Years Eve plan. So I’m so happy to hang out with you, and we’re just going to change this sh * t show.”
This year’s show will feature some of the biggest stars of the year including Leslie Jordan, Sarah Cooper, Desus and Mero and John Mayer.
The past three years have produced some memorable moments, which they saw again during the interview. Perhaps most noticeable is that Cooper is reacting unfavorably, to say the least, to the photos they’ve taken together. Cohen said the alcohol of choice this year was tequila.
And Cooper wouldn’t let Cohen leave the show without asking him about his hair, which Cohen has grown this year.
“When friends, you know, care about each other, they, you know, feel like it’s okay to just bring up something,” Cooper said. “So I just want to talk a little bit about your hair. Look, what’s going on with your hair, darling?
Cohen responded by saying it’s “the year of Covid” and a lot of people are growing their hair out, but it will get a cut in January.
Catch all the fun starting Thursday at 8 p.m. ET on CNN. Unlike previous years, which had large crowds of revelers, this year’s event will be closed to the public due to the pandemic.
