Tsukihime remake to launch in Japan in 2021

Some fun news from Aniplex as they starred with Type-Moon revealed this week that a remake of Tsukihime is on its way next year. News came from PR Times which revealed that the game is currently on track for release on Nintendo Switch and PS4, and will be released in the summer of 2021. However, the release will only be available for Japan for now. The official name of the game will be called Tsukihime: a piece of blue glass moon, but beyond that, we don’t really know if the remake’s story will follow anything from the original or if it will be strictly a totally new adventure with a whole new cast of characters. Here is an excerpt from the PR on the last game.

Tsukihime is a bizarre feature-length visual novel published by Type-Moon in 2000. The Fragile Line of Things – The story drawn around the main character, Shiki Tono, who has the ability to see the “Line of Death” has fascinated many people since its cast. The “Tsukihime” will be reborn under the name of “Tsukihime -A piece of blue glass moon-” by the staff of Type-Moon, Kinoko Nasu and Takashi Takeuchi, with new expressions while retaining the vestiges of the past.

We know via the official website that the cast will include Ryousuke kanemoto, Ikumi Hasegawa, Kaede Hondo, Shino shimoji, and Kana Ichinose. Based on the little information available, we know the company has been testing the game since fall 2019, but they haven’t released anything for the public to try out in demos or betas. Basically, we’ll just wait for now until they drop more information on us.
