Auburn’s offense will be missed by one of his best players when the Tigers face Northwestern in the Citrus Bowl on Friday.
First-year running back Tank Bigsby will not be available to play in the game, sources told AL.com.
Bigsby has run for 834 yards and five touchdowns this season.
With Bigsby out, Shaun Shivers and DJ Williams are set to pave the way for the Tigers’ running game.
In addition to Bigsby, Auburn will also be without other key players such as wide receiver Anthony Schwartz, cornerback Roger McCreary and nickel back Christian Tutt.
On a positive note for the Tigers however, safety Jamien Sherwood – who was originally scheduled to stay out of the game – is now expected to play, the sources say.
