SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) –
Many people wake up in the dark on New Years Day after a winter mix pushed through Ozarks overnight. In Springfield, City Utilities reports more than 3,000 people without power, mostly in the north-central part of the city. According to the City Utilities outage map, power will likely not be restored for several hours.
Households without electricity in the KY3 viewing area from 6 a.m.:
Greene County: 5,600.
Polk County: 570.
Howell County: 420.
Lawrence County: 400.
Dade County: 240.
Webster County: 245.
Dallas County: 400.
