Marie Bass, the ex-wife of bachelor vet Evan Bass, has thrown a bombshell on her relationship with Carly Waddell.

Bass’s ex-partner, 38, said on the Reality Steve podcast Thursday, December 31, that he and Waddell, 35, have in fact been living apart since 2019.

Waddell and Bass, who found love on the hit spin-off Bachelor In Paradise, announced on December 23 that they had separated after nearly three years of marriage.

Speaking about the situation between Evan and Carly, Marie – who is the mother of her three sons Nathan, Ensley and Liam – said:

“I mean it was February 19 that she left and moved to Pegram, Tennessee. She left him when she wasn’t even showing up with Charlie yet.

The shocking allegations add a whole new layer of depth to the former couple’s relationship, who announced in a joint statement last week.

“We made the difficult decision to go our separate ways. We will always cherish our time together and continue to have the utmost respect for each other as we focus on what is best for the future of our family.

The couple first met and fell in love with the show in 2016 and got married a year later on the show and things seemed like a fairytale ending to them.

They share two children together, Bella, two, and Charlie, 13 months, and Waddell becoming the stepmother of his three sons.

Fans have started to be wary of the relationship over the past six months for a handful of reasons, with the two making few social media appearances.

The couple vowed to have more kids in June, as Bass put it: ‘I don’t think we would be successful if we had another one. We would do it a little longer, but … they would probably lead to different paths, ”he said on the Mommies Tell All podcast.

Waddell continued to fuel speculation, as she shared on December 6 that she moved in a vlog, not mentioning Evan in terms of “ us ” in the video.

When Evan turned 38 on December 17, he celebrated without Carly by his side, only posting a photo of his kids which he called “My Loves.”

The couple spent Christmas apart as Waddell said it was’ the new normal ‘, while adding:’ Which is incredibly unnatural and actually very sad. ”

On January 1, Carly posted a photo of herself and Bella on New Years Day as they kissed in the mirror saying: ‘Teaching self love and learning to practice it myself’ ‘, as she shared last week,’ all wounds heal and yours too.
