The Mega Millions jackpot for 1/1/21 is $ 401 million and the draw will take place at 11 p.m. ET tonight.

Friday night’s 01/01/21 jackpot is worth $ 401 million, with a cash value option of $ 305.4 million. The total jackpot could increase depending on the number of tickets sold in the country before the draw.

The Tuesday (12/29/20) winning numbers for the $ 376 million jackpot were: 01-31-35-48-62 with a Mega Ball of 19. The Megaplier was 3x.

There was no grand prize winner in Tuesday’s draw, nor tickets sold for the top five white balls, and minus the mega gold ball, for the second prize in the $ 1 million game.

There were 20 tickets sold nationwide on Tuesday that matched four of five white balls and the Mega Ball for the third prize of $ 10,000. Three of them bought the Megaplier for an additional $ 1, which won $ 30,000 for the third prize.

The last jackpot winner came from a ticket sold in Wisconsin on 9/15/20 for a jackpot worth $ 119 million. This was only the fifth and final Mega Millions jackpot won in calendar year 2020.

Here are the five Mega Millions jackpots won in 2020:

$ 124 million – July 24 in New Jersey
$ 410 million – June 9 in Arizona
$ 202 million – February 11 in New Jersey

The other winners – dating back to 2019 – were a $ 372 million note sold in Ohio and a $ 227 million note that was sold 9/24/19 in the town of Cedar Park, Texas, a suburb north of Austin.

Mega Millions is a multi-state lottery every Tuesday and Friday night, and it’s one of the two biggest jackpot lottery games in America. Mega Millions jackpots start at $ 20 million and other prizes pay $ 1 to $ 2 million or more with a Megaplier.
