At the end of last month, Xiaomi unveiled the Mi 11, the world’s first smartphone to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 chipset. Today, the company made its first sale of the device in its Chinese home market, and it appears to be a resounding success.
Xiaomi managed to sell over 350,000 Mi 11 units in just five minutes. The total value of these exceeded CNY 1.5 billion. We assume that the Chinese have been convinced by the amazing spec / price ratio of the phone and we hope Xiaomi will launch it in other countries very soon.
The Mi 11 has a 6.81-inch 1440p 120Hz AMOLED touchscreen that earned an A + rating from DisplayMate, a triple rear camera setup with a 108 MP main shooter, 13 MP ultra-wide, and a 5 MP macro camera, a 20 MP selfie shooter built into the screen puncher, 8/12 GB of RAM, 128/256 GB of storage and a 4600 mAh battery with 55 W fast wired charging and a 50 W wireless fast charge. The Mi 11 runs Android 11 with MIUI 12.5 in addition.
