Friendly Warning: The following article contains slight spoilers from Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Part 4.
Chilling Adventures of SabrinaThe final eight episodes of the series send the titular teenage witch of the series to every imaginable corner of the cosmos. Alternative realities, real hell, name it. So why doesn’t Sabrina’s journey through the multiverse include a pit stop in nearby Greendale, Riverdale?
Well a major cross between Sabrina and Riverdale was in the cards … but only if Netflix commissioned the show beyond part 4. As explained by showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, part 5 of Sabrina allegedly set the stage for a “witch war”, which would apparently pit the Fright Club against the “witches of Riverdale”. Even crazier, these “witches” strangely resemble Betty, Jughead, Archie, Veronica and Cheryl.
The silver lining here is that Aguirre-Sacasa still plans to tell this crazy story, albeit thanks to the magic of the comics. Check out the fascinating art below:
Thanks for all the love, #sabrinanetflix Fans. Part 4 is our best yet and Part 5, “Witch War”, would have been amazing. To be continued in the pages of #CHAOS comic… 💔🔮☠️🍔👨🏻💻 pic.twitter.com/wNvTfxYNfX

That said, Part 4 is not without its share of Riverdale screams. The first reference comes in Episode 1 (“Chapter Twenty-Nine: The Eldritch Dark”), when Roz tells his fellow WICCA members, “In Riverdale, they have condoms in the bathroom.”
RiverdaleThe second mention of this episode comes from Episode 3 (“Chapter Thirty-One: The Strange”). A character named Lucas briefly attends Baxter High, and when Sabrina asks where he is later in the hour, she tells him, “I understand he’s transferred to Riverdale High.
And although it is not a direct Riverdale connection, Episode 6 (“Chapter Thirty-Four: The Return”) features a familiar trio of guest stars. Sean Depner, Sarah Desjardins and Doralynn Mui – who all played students at Stonewall Prep on Riverdale – appear as members of an unhappy rock band.
Did you read all of these references in part 4? Made we run out? And what do you think of the upcoming wizarding crossover? Leave all of your thoughts in a comment below.
