Needless to say, the video is already a hit with Styles supporters and in less than 24 hours has already amassed nearly 4 million views on YouTube. Even Styles’ famous friend Lizzo couldn’t wait to see the video drop. As she commented on Instagram, “I WAITED FOR THIS 1 !!!”
While Styles didn’t say much more about his latest iteration, Gucci did confirm that both actors wore custom designer looks for the video, which isn’t surprising given he’s long been linked with the Mark.
Paul roberts, the choreographer of the video, expressed his gratitude to the whole team after his debut. “01.01.21 WHAT A MOOD,” Roberts wrote on Instagram. “Honestly, I’m really grateful for this creation and its process, but most of all I’m grateful for this man [sic] loyalty, friendship and continued belief in me. Most wonderful (in all regards) #pheobewallerbridge who gave it their all – You bring the best snacks to the table. Thanks to my wingman Stevie Jazz @jaredhageman You are absolutely awesome! To the big boys @ fulwell73productions @ gabeturner73 @bigboturner who is [sic] passion and art were the driving force behind this song and dance film. To Carly, Lou, Aimee, Bex, Ben who looked after us like royalty along the way. As for the overall visual, maybe Derek blasberg put it better in an Instagram comment: “2021 already looks good to me.”
