Here’s Brodie Jr. going wild on AEW’s list to get 2021 off to a good start

It looks like Brodie Lee Jr. was adopted by the AEW family even before his father tragically died last weekend. Since the death of his father, Brodie Jr. has been adopted by the entire wrestling community.

Seeing the eight-year TNT champion for the sake of pro wrestling reminded us all of our own and gave us an outlet for our grief other than mere mourning. Seeing how much he is loved not only by the All Elite roster, but also by his father’s friends and former WWE colleagues, has reminded us of the love that comes with making the shows we are so lucky to be able to watch. .

AEW posted a clip of what happened after December 30 Dynamite passed away, and it’s beautiful to see what the show has meant not only to Brodie Jr. and his mother Amanda, but to two of the men who made the show possible – Tony Khan and Cody Rhodes.

But it was a few clips shared on social media by other AEW list members that really made me smile today. That’s because they focus on newly signed Brodie Jr. just being a kid in one of the coolest playgrounds a kid can have.

And another member of the wrestling fraternity who understands what it’s like to lose your father at a young age, Brian Pillman Jr., posted this clip to his Instagram Story. Brodie Jr. going out Top Flight with his father’s discus lariat is awesome; Hearing Pillman and seeing Ricky Starks cheering him on is even better:

Sonny Kiss groove in the background is just a bonus.

There will certainly be sadness in the future of the struggle. That makes it all the more important to keep some of the love evident in these last two videos with us in anticipation of a new year.

The venue probably should have let him escape the jump, but the presence of Adam Cole would seem to confirm that these are from a New Years Eve party (presumably COVID). From 2021 in effect.
