Can the New York Giants reach the playoffs and win the NFC East? Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys is the first play needed for the Giants to head to the Promised Land. As we’ve done in every game this season, we simulated this weekend’s game at Madden 21 to predict how the game might go. According to Madden, the Giants’ season may not end as fans hope.
In this simulation, neither team clearly had a significant advantage. The two teams traded blows in the first half, with the game tied at 14-14. Finally, in the third quarter, Greg Zuerlein gave Dallas a 17-14 lead.
With the game on the line, and just a minute to go, Dallas stepped onto the field and pushed the game out of reach with a rushed touchdown from Ezekiel Elliott. Daniel Jones scored a touchdown in the trash, ending the score at 24-21.
Jones finished the game with 20 of 26 points for 212 yards and two touchdowns. Evan Engram also had a good day, amassing five receptions for 71 yards.
According to Madden, the Giants could be short against the Cowboys. With a playoff shot on the line, the Giants will need a very different result than simulated.
