Nicki Minaj shares the first full photos of her baby on Instagram.
On Saturday, the 38-year-old rapper, who gave birth to her first child on September 30, posted an adorable slideshow of photos writing: “#PapaBear thank you so much for choosing me to be your mom. I wish you a happy new year. Thank you for your love and support throughout this journey. It means so much to me.
She added, “Becoming a mom is by far the most rewarding job I have ever taken on. Sending love to all superhero mothers. Big hugs to all the women who have been pregnant during this difficult time.
In the footage, the child, whose name has not been announced, sits in an infant seat wearing Burberry, Versace and Fendi designer clothes and a gold necklace spelling out “Papa Bear.” A video captioned “Best of 2020” showed the baby wearing a red and green tracksuit. Before Saturday, fans had only seen the baby’s tiny foot during an Instagram tribute for a wedding anniversary.
In October 2019, Minaj married Kenneth Petty, 42, breaking the news on Instagram with a video showing ‘Mr.’ and “Mrs.” coffee mugs and “Bride” and “Groom” baseball hats. “Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty,” she wrote, with the date of their wedding. Months earlier, the “Moment 4 Life” singer had changed her Twitter name to Ms. Petty, driving fans wild with speculation.
Last week, Minaj shared her motherhood story on Twitter, including smelling her unborn baby kick, when her water broke while she was “naked” after a shower and childbirth, which lasted two and a half hours. The first-time mother also confessed that breastfeeding and pumping breast milk was painful.
“He had no problem breastfeeding,” Minaj tweeted. “He hung in the hospital, which surprised me very much. I was afraid he might not do it. But breastfeeding is very painful. Pumping is too. Women make this stuff too easy. The mothers [are] really superheroes.
The singer also revealed which celebrities have given advice and gifts (Ciara and Ariana Grande) and has promised to eventually reveal her son’s name.
Yes. I was completely naked. I just got out of the shower and asked her to rub my back. As soon as I started to walk over to him in bed, I just felt the water start to come out. I was strangely calm and quietly said “omg, I’m about to give birth”. He was very scared and I was laughing @ him. https://t.co/2FGBnQOp3T

Yes, natural vaginal birth with epidural. I pushed for 2 and a half hours. Only because the epidural hasn’t worn off enough for me to feel like pushing. Once I could feel the pain, I pushed him out. https://t.co/gzN45j6V6z
