Justin Bieber released the music video for his latest single “Anyone” on New Years Day as he performed the song live for a virtual audience.

The video shows Bieber training as a boxer alongside Zoey Deutch, who stars as his beloved partner.

Directed by Collin Tilley, the video “Anyone” has a retro feel, with Deutch and Bieber wearing vintage clothes and Bieber drinking raw eggs while he works out.

The big finish of the video shows Bieber getting knocked down in a championship game, but he manages to come back and find the strength to win the competition with his love for Deutch in mind.

Adding to the old-fashioned feel of the video, Bieber temporarily removed a feature of her modern look: her tattoos.

Bieber covered all of the tattoos on his arms, legs, torso, neck and face for the video.

The “Yummy” singer has over 60 tattoos, according to J-14, so hiding them temporarily made a dramatic difference in his appearance.

The process was also time consuming, as Bieber later showed his fans.

The singer shared a time-lapse video on Instagram of the covered tattoos.

“No tattoos for the #Anyone video,” he captioned the post.

Fans have flocked to the comments section to express their opinions on his transformation.

“It’s so weird to see you without tattoos,” wrote jbiebertracker, a fan account.

“IT’S LIKE 2020,” juzzybieber6 wrote, nodding at Bieber’s appearance earlier in his career.

“I think I ended up on my neck,” the singer added. “It’s a request from Hailey,” he said of his wife, Hailey Rhode Bieber.
