There are other reports that Jim Harbaugh and Michigan football will soon agree on an overtime and if he does, here are three dream assistant coach hires.

There has been tons of talk about Michigan football and Jim Harbaugh coming to an agreement on a new contract and on Saturday another outlet reported that a deal was made.

This time it was Bruce Feldman who reported on Twitter that Harbaugh and the Wolverines are close to agreeing on a new deal until 2026.

This follows a report from Chris Balas of The Wolverine (subscription required) on Friday that something could be announced in a few days.

Feldman’s information further confirms this and he is the first national journalist to actually publish something like this. The duration of the transaction is longer than that previously reported. But doing something is the most important thing.

Now it’s time to fill up the rest of the staff, which Balas says could also happen very soon, especially now with the bowling season almost over except for one game.

Since defensive coordinator Don Brown’s sacking, there has been a lot of talk about who would replace him, as well as what other additions could be made to staff.

And now that it looks like Harbaugh will be back with the Wolverines, it looks like a good opportunity to look at some of the hires Harbaugh could make in the coming days to help him transform this program for good.
