Brad Raffensperger to Donald Trump: “ What you say is not true ”

“Respectfully, President Trump: What you say is not true. The truth will come out,” Raffensperger tweeted.

Raffensperger’s comment was in response to a Sunday morning tweet from the president, in which Trump said he spoke to Raffensperger on the phone in an attempt to convince Raffensperger to look into unsubstantiated conspiracy theories about the November vote. According to Trump, Raffensperger refused to do so.

“Yesterday I spoke to Fulton County Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger and voter fraud in Georgia. He was reluctant, or unable, to answer questions such as the “ballots under the table” scam, destruction of ballots, out-of-state voters, deceased voters, and more. Trump wrote.

The secretary of state’s office told CNN that Raffensperger would have no further comment on the conversation.

Raffensperger, a Republican and Trump supporter, has consistently rejected Trump’s allegations of electoral fraud in Georgia. He oversaw three different vote recounts and conducted several other reviews of the process. He recently commissioned the Georgia Bureau of Investigation to conduct an audit of the signature matching system in Cobb County, which determined the system was 99.9% accurate and found no evidence of fraud.

Raffensperger and the state’s GOP Governor Brian Kemp, another target of Trump’s wrath, have repeatedly pleaded with the president to shift his focus from the November results to the second round.

“We just have to accept the facts of what happened in the November election,” Raffensperger told Fox News on Saturday. “I’m not happy and many Conservatives aren’t either, but at the end of the day we want to make sure we have a fair and honest election on Tuesday and that’s what we’ll fight for.”

Trump heads to Georgia on Monday for a final rally in support of the senses. Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue. Republicans fear the president will spend more time complaining about the November election than he will encourage his supporters to come out and vote for the GOP ticket.
