Netflix plans to create a TV show based on the The Elder Scrolls franchise.
Capitalizing on the success of similar adaptations that turned The Witcher and Castlevania into strong shows on the streaming service, it is rumored now that Netflix is looking to repeat the formula with a show based on Bethesda’s action RPG as well.
The rumor stems from industry insider Daniel Ritchtman (£) (thanks, Game Rant), who reports that Netflix is looking to adapt the fan-favorite franchise. Granted, that’s just a rumor at the moment – we haven’t heard from Bethesda, Microsoft, or Netflix yet – but given that there are already plans to turn Fallout 4 into a TV show, it’s is certainly plausible.
In case you missed it, The Elder Scrolls Online’s next big adventure is all about Oblivion, as revealed during The Game Awards. A reveal event is scheduled for January 21, 2021 to get a first glimpse of this new scenario.
