CLEVELAND, Ohio – With the 2020 regular season over, we now know which teams the Browns will play in 2021.
The rotation of the league schedule matches AFC North with AFC West and NFC North next season. The Browns’ third place in the division means they will also face third-place teams in the AFC East and AFC South.
The NFL is expected to release its full week-to-week schedule in mid-April.
In addition, the addition of a 17th regular season game has been approved as part of the league’s new labor agreement. The league can add the additional play anytime between 2021 and 2023, and NFL.com has reported the plan is slated to begin in 2021.
MMQB’s Albert Breer reported that the cross-rotation for Game 17 would be AFC North vs. NFC West in 2021. The third-place Browns would play the third-place Cardinals in this scenario.
However, the league has yet to announce how Game 17 will be added.
