Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs was arrested and charged with DUI in Las Vegas early Monday morning, according to Paul Gutierrez from ESPN.
Police reportedly responded to a car crash in the McCarran Airport Connection Tunnel at 4:42 a.m. local time, and Jacobs was rushed to hospital with minor injuries.
According to Kevin bolinger Fox 5, he has been released and is scheduled to appear in court on March 8.
The crash occurred after the Raiders ended their season with a 32-31 victory over the Denver Broncos on Sunday at Empower Field in Mile High. Jacobs rushed for 89 yards with two touchdowns to help the team finish 8-8.
The 2019 first-round pick finished the year with 1,065 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns, his second straight season with at least 1,000 yards. His production was also enough to earn his career debut selection to the Pro Bowl.
If found guilty, Jacobs could face an NFL suspension in 2021 for violating league policy on substance abuse.
