Giovanna’s inactive animation revealed for Guilty Gear Strive

It was in October that we got our first glimpses of Giovanna, a brand new character who was heading for the roster for the next Guilty Gear Strive, but we haven’t seen her much since.

The developers did, however, give the community a new preview clip of Giovanna on Sunday night, as they posted the newcomer’s inactive animation on Twitter.

The US President’s bodyguard normally assumes a fighting stance which sees her bent over with her hip leading towards her opposition as her ghostly dog ​​hovers just above, but leave her alone long enough and she will straighten up.

Giovanna stands up and does a few quick jumps to make sure the blood keeps flowing, and her loyal companion maintains a very stoic and intimidating ready pose while gazing intently forward. The included clip has no sound, so we’re not sure whether or not it emits a trademark phrase during the process.

True to Guilty Gear’s reputation for having gorgeous characters with beautiful animations, Giovanna almost instantly caught the attention of the GG community.
